Jacob Harris is a cinematographer, colourist, and post-production specialist currently based in Hobart, Tasmania. Known for his calm presence on set and technical versatility, he brings nearly two decades of production experience to high-end visual work across broadcast, documentary and commercial campaigns. Cinematography
An active member of the Australian Cinematographers Society and Tasmanian delegate to the national board, Jacob brings a considered and practical approach behind the lens, greatly informed by his background in advertising, event videography and breaking news.
His documentary credits include filming for Altar Fruit, the feature Now Sound, filming broadcast news stories with 7NEWS Tasmania, the lifestyle television series Australia’s Best Houses, and the variety series Amateur Hour.
Post-Production
Jacob’s recent workflow experience includes serving as a dailies operator and assistant editor on The Sanctuary, an observational documentary series filmed at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary for Netflix.
As a colourist, his grading portfolio spans feature documentaries, commercial campaigns, and music videos for artists such as The Rubens, British India, Holy Holy, Odette, Sunbeam Sound Machine, and Billy Fox, which earned him Best Colour at the 2019 CLIPPED Music Video Festival. His agency and corporate portfolio includes post-production work for brands such as Bonds, Collarts, Mazda, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the NBL. Projects he has worked on have screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF), Sydney Film Festival, and St Kilda Film Festival, and streamed globally on ABC iview, SBS On Demand, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Stan.
